After over 20 years of working for some of the leading retail and digital operators such as Grosvenor Casinos, Evolution Gaming, The Rank Group, Caesars Entertainment. I have decided to branch out and start my own consultancy service to offer my extensive knowledge and passion to enhance and unlock businesses potential in the areas they need support.
I'm have one of the most in depth knowledge of Live Casino in the industry along with extensive knowledge in product development and innovation, commercial insights, business development, strategic planning, product portfolio management and a methodical attention to detail for P&L management.
With having worked on nearly all sides of the casino business this has also given me an inherent view and understanding of our customers, why they play, what are their motivations, preferences, how to increase engagement.
A little more insight to my career so far:
Having started in retail casinos back in 1997 I had a well journeyed career moving to around the country with various operators ( Stakis, Grosvenor, Gala, Stanley's, Alea) along the way moving up the ladder to management positions and VIP customer relations.
In 2011 I moved to digital with Evolution Gaming, holding the positions of Head of International department in Riga where I grew the team from 25 to 130 along with opening and managing their first satellite studio in Murcia Spain.
From there I was instrumental in opening their first secondary full scale studio in Malta which was launched in Jan'14 on time and on budget, where I was the Deputy Head of Operations.
The next challenge I accepted was moving to Rank as Live casino manager and was where I delivered continued revenue growth , P&L management, product innovation and launch (Grosvenor live casino app, EGR 2018 best casino app winner and joint development with Netent for Perfect Blackjack) I moved quickly to Head of Live casino product and most recently Head of digital table games continuing to optimize commercial rates, cost of sale, product portfolio and management.
I had the pleasure of working with Richard for 5 years at the Rank Group whilst I was Head of VIP and latterly Head of Commercial Performance. Richard understood fully the needs of my players, how to exceed their expectations, how to personalise the offer and how to ensure best commercial return to the business. He took the time to liaise with my teams whilst ensuring a collaborative approach and always reached our business wide goals
Due to his previous roles at Evolution, Richard has built up very close ties to such a vital company in the industry. Through constant relationship building and maintenance, his contacts were keen to help Richard wherever possible. This became evident in Rank's own Live Casino offering. I had the pleasure of visiting the Evolution Studios in Malta with Richard which housed Rank's own Grosvenor Live Casino tables. The 50 strong team built by Richard and Evolution clearly enjoyed having him there and were dedicated to the company because of the support he provided.
As for product innovation, Richard never let things get stale, he was pivotal in delivering the first ever dual play table, "Live from the Vic", allowing both online and in casino players to gamble on the same table. The significance of this cannot be overstated given Grosvenor's need to be a multichannel company.
The most important and impressive part of Richard's skill set is his understanding and passion for the product. Through my 16 years in the industry I have genuinely never met someone with Richard's level of knowledge and absolute drive to deliver to the highest standard possible, thus ensuring complete customer satisfaction wherever possible.
